Numbers Make Headaches

Trying to make a new RPG that doesnt use dice but the page count i keep seeing head is rediculous...too much information...too many variables...not enough space.
Makes my head hurt...

Oh Yeah...

What i mean is...i'm trying to make a new rpg "SYSTEM" that doesnt use dice and such. Once I figure out the dmg/def and combat system out along w/ a cover sheet that doesnt give me a headache, I may be in business.

this sounds pretty cool, i had a tactical game that used DMG/DEF that worked out pretty well for a while what about something like

Sword beats ax which beats spear which beats sword (I know stolen from fire emblem but I'm just tossing out ideas). maybe you could add a bigger sized outer cycle like

Sword/ax/spear
beats magic
beats ranged (bows, guns, throwing stuff)
beats sword/ax/spear

I'm interested in this project and will offer help with ideas if you want. but thats for combat maybe something similar would work for out of combat skills. I'm normally only useful when I've had some espresso but I think this can work (I'm an ultra minimalist so for me the simplest solution is the one i normally go for)
