A rough draft list of the grappling mechanics.

1. Resist – St, resist takedown, throw, tackle, leverage, and clinch.

2. Slip (once grabbed)– Ag

3. Force out – St

4. Grab/Choke – De

5. Grab/Lock release (during grab/lock attempt or once grabbed/locked) – De

6. Reverse grab (grab; skilled technique) – De

7. Reverse grab (takedown; skilled technique; e.g. flying armbar)

8. Lock – De

9. Reverse strike (lock; skilled technique) – De

10. Reverse lock (lock; skilled technique) – De

11. Clinch – St

12. Evade (sprawl) – Ag

13. Reverse pin (from sprawl; skilled technique) – Ag

14. Pin – St or De

15. Guard Lock – Ag (skilled technique), prevents pin. Cannot use when pinned. Can be used after a minor defense failure (2nd level)

16. Leverage –(skilled technique).

17. Throw – St

18. Lift/Slam – St

19. Takedown – Ag

20. Tackle – St (effect based on Po modified by momentum)
