BattleBoard
BattleBoard is a fantasy boardgame you make yourself using a chess board and 200 cards you can make out of a sheet of poster board. A standard storebought cardboard chess board is recommended, or any chessboard that has spaces that are 1 inch by 1 inch or bigger. A standard sheet of white poster board should be all that is needed to make the BattleBoard cards. The descriptions for each card can be written on the cards or printed out card-sized on paper using your computer and glued on the cards. It is really up to you how you wish to customize the game if you decide to make it.
BattleBoard is played between two players representing two opposing kings in a magical land called Magincia. Instead of resolving disputes by warfare, the various kings of Magincia resolve their conflicts by challenging each other to a game of BattleBoard, wherein mythical monsters and mystical magicks vie to capture the throne of one's opponent.
Provided here are the rules of the game as well as descriptions of all 200 cards used in the game. 100 of the cards will be Battler cards representing monsters and fantasy characters; 100 of the cards will be Magic cards representing the spells and mystic items. Please proceed to the "BattleBoard Rules" section for how the game is played, then read the "BattleBoard Battlers" and "BattleBoard Magics" sections after you have read the rules thoroughly.
