I would like it if you nice people out there would take alook at a project of mine. It was orignally made in an atempt to do a 24hour rpg. When I fail to finish in 24 hours I just kept going. As I over came a few road bumps I started to queston the playablity of the game.
There is one unfinished and one missing chapter to it....gm and "extras" both are need for final release but as one is help in runnig the game and the other is just a big optional rules section I figure you can try it out now....

feed back plz (be gentle)

Cute idea, but you may want

Cute idea, but you may want to consider changing the name of the game despite how much the acronym fits. There is/was an rpg published by BTRC with the same name. I think the acronym for that game meant: Complete Ominiversal Roleplaying System.

foiled again

well monkey Poop....now what to name it

Off to a good start

I had a slight grin when I saw the layout and the .txt file, it is how I start my games. I try and write the game in one sitting without being too precise or really planning ahead with it. The idea for me personally is that I have somthing I can look at and slowly refine. If you see MACE for the Character Sheet RPG Challenge, there was a first simple version before the refined completed MACE Lite.

I will be honest and say I am excited by what you are presenting at its core (half pun). The simplicity of your system allows for someone who likes the RPG to play any video game they like. If there isn't a Shinnie/Oops's that fits, making one is relatively simple. I like the coin mechanic, plus the way that Tags and Tricks tie in is simple.

The only thing I will comment on is clearer communication of task resolution and combat. You have what should be several categories digested under one header, which makes reading and understanding the rules slightly more difficult. I know this is part layout, but it is also good mechanic design - you need to be able to clearly communicate to someone who doesn't know the rules how to play. There are many people here who have assumed knowledge about role playing, but it is important in case a reader doesn't have that.

Also, the names for the different aspects of a character are peculiar, I would like to know how you came to these names (Shinnies and Oops's in particular). Finally, if this RPG is meant to emulate old school RPG's, then I am intersted to see how you will integrate Magic to cover the wide range of games and systems out there.

Liking what I am seeing, keep it coming! Thanks

thank you for your feed back

I have to say the minute I read your comment about communication of task resolution and combat, I flinched. Guess I was hoping it's clarity was fine. silly me!!

The names were just pulled out of left field....I have a odd sense of humor and well, it bleeds into all I do. I am thinking of changing the names of Shinnies and Oops's....if only cause Oops's has the worst sound to it when read...(maybe Icky's??? :D )

I have the system for the FX, as well as a list of opional rules, all map out in my head. It will just take some time to get to it as the revamps to the rules (aka the clarity of their discriptions) and GM section are still higher on the list

C.O.R.P.S?

Just re-reading and had a thought. What does C.O.R.P.S stand for?

Will do, but need a favour first.

I intend to read this, but could I ask if you could try to re upload it, perhaps in a different format, as currently it's very difficult to read.
