Has anyone heard something recently about design challenges? This is about the time of year for Game Chef, but so far, there hasn't been an update to the site since the end of the last contest.
Not that my last entry was award winning, (or even in the upper 2/3rds of the ranks..) but I would like a chance to try again. I'm willing to start a contest of my own on a free web page at this point. Either a game-chef homage, or a "nature vs nurture" test where everyone is given the same system or story, and we see where people take the idea.
At the moment, I'm studying the Western genre in preparation for writing a 24 hour rpg. And I still have some other stuff to work on, but a contest every now and then helps to keep the creativity flowing and the laziness at bay.
