Story Feedback

OK, my computer is dying on me, so further work on the presentable portions of my games will be on hold for the next few weeks until I either reformat the thing, or one of you sends me a new machine.

But, I will be continuing to write in my journal, and posting here with my sister's notebook perhaps.

Enough fuming. What everyone wants to see in this thing? Are there any rules or notes I missed?

For the sake of argument, I forgot to include the dice sizes for the ammunition rolls. 10 or less rounds (Revolvers, shotguns etc.) roll a d6, 10-25 rounds (Most pistols) roll a d8, and 30+ (Assault rifle clips) roll a d8. (Arguably, a d3/4/5 since the 2 highest outcomes count) Also, a shotgun can trade DR for extra targets.

My journal contains:
2 stories from the alien Point of View
A Thief discussing the pros and cons of Gauss weapons vs AKs.
Intelligence report on Central Gulf
Several takes on New Birmingham Theocracy
Russian Submarine Captain discussing homeland
Mercenary complaining about Africa.
Power Armor vs a type 3/kappa

"Non fiction" elements:
State if pre-collapse society (Integrated systems, bionics etc.)
What occurs in the anarchy zone
Stats for 3 or 4 alien war machines
Ideas about factional differences between the aliens (wipe them out, vs collective communes)
Transport technology
What is really animating the dead

Who knows what

I'm always intersted, in these post apocalyptic settings, how much do people really know of the world? Are there still ham radio operators? I remember something about some horrible earthquake in Mexico, when ham radio played an important role in getting supplies where needed.

But maybe broadcasting a radio signal just gets the Shrimp's attention.

Still, I'd like to see something that describes what people in one part of the world know about the other parts of the world.

welcome back me, thanks me

Along the same lines...do you plan on having different versions of the same story/setting? I could see people misleading others in an attempt to preserve what they have, or even the aliens using "primitive" communication devices to send false messages. I know if I found a good safe location, I won't be eager to invite everyone capable of receiving a signal.

Somewhat

There are two or three stories that are seen from both the human and alien PoV, as well as a few wholy alien ones. Also, there are multiple opinions about the Theocracy in general. Furthermore, there's two diffrent factions in aliens - wipe them out, and live with the humans.

Mostly though, its just people who may be lacking info, or not too trustworthy to begin with.

There is a fine line between hobby and obsession. I seem to have lost sight of it some time ago.
