Unless the player´s story occurs in a pre-Faane era or pos-Faane era. Or maybe the PCs are his loyal servants?

I have a campaign that details the life of one hero, and the players live about 1000 years after his death, seeing how the world has changed because of his actions.

Its like "Hero seeds", you see the players growing and wanting to be heroes too.
