Welcome to the Lab
We have a number of solo games on this site, so you're in very good company. Feel free to post them or give us a link, and feedback will be forthcoming.
You're "all-the-time" LARP isn't that bad of an idea. Have you ever played The Assassin Game? Its popular on some college campuses. Go about your normal life, while at the same time trying to "kill" a certain target covertly. Depending on your local, the rules may state you use fruit instead of guns, water pistols, or contact poison in the form of double sided tape.
There might be a bit of a problem with game in/out designation. It might work better to have an activation phrase or set locations. Put another way, its not so much always running, as it can be started any time. If you get a phone-call where the greeting is "ahoy" instead of hello, it begins for example. Or certain intersections/buildings are in character locals elsewhere you're normal.
I'm not a live action gamer, but it sounds like an intriguing idea, and I want to see where you take it.
There is a fine line between hobby and obsession. I seem to have lost sight of it some time ago.
