After nearly a year I am back. I just logged in and started catching up and I have found, much to my surprise and chagrin, that in my absence, I was read, missed and talked about. Thank you, everyone who read my works (especially those that left comments) or spoke well of me in my absence! It feels strange to me now, looking at the time stamps it has been almost a year's time that has passed that I would simply rather not explain in print. Well, suffice it to say I'm sorry I was gone so long. I really missed everyone here and the excitement of seeing published final projects on 1km1kt.net. It is amazing and encouraging to see how much everyone has done, and how both websites have grown in more than just size, membership or content volume, but also in quality.
I am going to be able to begin where I left off, writing I Play Games! reviews and working on my own game designs again and build my web presence back up, since I have new skills and the time and access again. My better half, Rebecca has even encouraged me to become more creative and active on line again. She is nearly finished with her novel and was recently published in Building Bridges: The 2008 San Francisco Writers Conference Anthology while looking for an agent! So, I am really motivated to finish what I started and begin working again on my own efforts. It is important for me to not to let pride turn to envy, having more of my own work in print is the best way to make sure of that.It sounds strange anywhere else, but I need to get back to business and play games!
Beyond becoming active here again, I will be working some other on line projects, including an LJ selling journal amberjewlry and other completely off topic small commercial crafts ventures. Hopefully I will be able to finally get together my own small press too. So, I'll be around on line frequently again.
