Here is my third submission for the 2008 Character Sheet Is The RPG Challenge III.
Halloween came early for me in this year's character sheet challenge. Last year, we actually had a side challenge for Halloween themed RPGs, of which a few new one pagers were added to the challenge last year. Who knows if we'll have another such Halloween RPG challenge this October, but I thought I'd make a horror rpg anyway midway through September.
Graveyard Ghoul RPG depicts a lone ghoul character traversing a vast graveyard in the underworld. You customize your ghoul character using a variety of statistics and powers, and then unleash it in the netherworld necropolis known as The Graveyard.
I really like how this game turned out, as to me it has a certain video game quality to it wherein you are given a few options for using your powers to effect gameplay. I may make another RPG similar to this one (a futuristic one with a cyborg character), in that I like how the system can be used to create a solo RPG experience wherein a player gets to have a lot of choice in how their character makes it through the game.
