In the end, I went with using old english (the proper kind, not "Ye Olde Inne" type) words for things to get names.
Feorr means wide or expansive, and Eard means earth or world - roughly.
I've probably gone wrong somewhere, because old English uses word endings to denote sentence structure, and I just chose the first words out of a dictionary.
