Here is my fifth (and possibly final) submission for the 2008 Character Sheet Is The RPG Challenge III.
This time around, instead of making my usual solo kind of one page RPG, I decided to make a 'standard' RPG that uses a gamemaster and player characters.
Iron Caste RPG takes place in a medieval fantasy world which has been invaded by a large number of demons and devils. These demonic foes can only be harmed by iron weaponry and arcane magic, so the race of man has formed four castes skilled in such weapons and magic: The Justiciar Caste, The Scoundrel Caste, The Mystic Caste, and The Warlock Caste.

Here is my fourth submission for the 2008 Character Sheet Is The RPG Challenge III.
Inspired by the game King Of The Tabletop (which later became expanded into Kings & Things*), Monster Army RPG represents a ragtag militia of monsters on a war campaign to conquer the lands that make up the fantasy world in which they dwell.
I really like how this one turned out, and will be taking a break from making any more one page RPGs for the time being. I may end up adding another game or two before the year ends, but for now I have contributed enough to this year's challenge.

Here is my third submission for the 2008 Character Sheet Is The RPG Challenge III.
Halloween came early for me in this year's character sheet challenge. Last year, we actually had a side challenge for Halloween themed RPGs, of which a few new one pagers were added to the challenge last year. Who knows if we'll have another such Halloween RPG challenge this October, but I thought I'd make a horror rpg anyway midway through September.
Graveyard Ghoul RPG depicts a lone ghoul character traversing a vast graveyard in the underworld. You customize your ghoul character using a variety of statistics and powers, and then unleash it in the netherworld necropolis known as The Graveyard.

Here is my second submission for the 2008 Character Sheet Is The RPG Challenge III.
Dungeon Delvers RPG is a simple one page game of hack n' slash dungeon exploration. In it, you guide a party of six dungeon delvers as they explore the dungeons of their land in search of arcane items of power. With a Barbarian, Rogue, Sorcerer, Knight, Priest, and Wizard, you delve into dangerous dungeons full of lethal traps, magical hexes, and menacing monsters. Each delver in the delving party offers a unique ability that helps them all survive and succeed in delving into deadly dungeons.

In order to get the 2008 Character Sheet Is The RPG Challenge III started on a good note, I've created a one page solo RPG called Super Crim RPG, available for download in pdf form.
In Super Crim RPG, you take the role of a colorful super criminal trying to rise to the top of the mean streets of Notham City. Loosely based on the film 'The Dark Knight', Super Crim RPG allows you to make your own Batman-type villain to try to rise to the top of Notham City's criminal underworld.
Enjoy!
Peace, Errin : )

Well, it's that time of the year again... time for another foray into the world of one page RPGs! This time around, I thought we'd have RPG Laboratory be the main site to submit the character sheet RPGs to, though of course 1km1kt is still available to submit your games to
Basically, the challenge is to create an RPG that is entirely contained within one single page, on either one side or two sides. If you want to add an extra twist to this challenge, you can try making the character sheet rpg in a single 24 hour time period. Once your game is made, please submit it here in pdf form (attached to a blog entry for the game) so that the rest of us can play it.

So, in my recent push to create solo RPGs that involved more player input and less fatalism, I created the CHOOSE system. CHOOSE stands for Choice Heavy Open Option Solo Experience. It requires a standard set of dice to play.
For my first (and perhaps only) CHOOSE effort, I decided to make a fantasy battle game. CHOOSE Fantasy RPG is more about fantastic warriors and monsters without much wizardry or magic involved. It is not a one page RPG, as it would span two and a half pages if printed out (5 one-sided pages in pdf form).
There is some randomness and fatalism to CHOOSE Fantasy, but for the most part it is all about player choice. You craft your own character then enter into battles and adventures wherein you are given choices most every step of the way. If you can get to the completion stage (Step 11), you can play an aftergame (Step 12) using your character and any other past characters that completed the game victoriously.

So, I am continuing to pursue the creation of simple one page solo games that have less fatalism and more player choice than the majority of solo games I have made so far.
This time, I made The Isle Of Sorrow RPG, a fantasy solo RPG about adventuring on a dreaded isle so as to make a name for yourself among the adventurer classes. I suppose this could even be considered a solitaire game, since it involves a deck of poker cards.
I definitely like how this one turned out, and am pondering what I might add to it. Although the choices you get to make are quite simple (each turn you can search in one of four ways), they allow you to shape the course of the game as you see fit. While it is a rather barebones system of dice and cards, I think it works quite well at providing a dynamic roleplaying experience and gaming challenge. The victory terms are kind of loose and abstract (a small victory is almost assured, and it is just a question of how big a victory you can achieve), and it is really up to the player what they want to achieve. Basically, it's up to you as to what kind of ending you aim for to gain a final adventurer class.

Okay, so after making a solo game for the recent Halloween RPG Challenge, and thanks to the resulting discussions about it here at RPG Lab, I became determined to make a small solo game that was a lot less fatalistic than most of the solo games I have made in the one page format.
Most of my solo one pagers share a common theme... you start the game by creating your character as you choose, then the rest of the game involves die rolls wherein you have little choice in the course of events beyond what attributes and such you chose initially for your character. These type of solo games were more on the simulation side, giving a player the opportunity to 'watch and see' how the game progressed, but able to do little else due to the fatalistic nature of the solo game.

Well, it was a couple days late due to bad planning, but here is my submission for the Halloween RPG Challenge. It's a two-sided one page solo RPG called Tindalos, wherein you've summoned an evil creature called The Hound of Tindalos. The hound is determined to hunt you down and devour you, so you must scour the town of Arkham as you seek a way to thwart the beast before it slays you. The game is inspired by the weird tale 'The Hounds Of Tindalos' written by Frank Belknap Long. The game is also full of references to other stories by H.P. Lovecraft, with quite a few examples taken out of the Cthulhu Mythos. If you are not familiar with the subject matter the game is based on, I highly recommend reading the authors I just mentioned.
