Misfit Gamers Roleplaying Community

me and my small role playing group have had troubles finding members and keeping them. since everybody has their own important schedules and cannot really participate in live roleplaying. yet many of us have total hatred of the dreaded Play By Post trap of death. One of my members has decided to make this forum for us to organize our games and help others do the same. We do hope that our little forum can eventually become a nice little community and some day make it something more impressive.

We do hope we can coax a few members to our ways. We are happily accepting new members that would want to roleplay with us or organize games for others.

Status of RPGlab

I have noticed RPGL has fallen into a state of issue. With a very large lack of people visiting and actually staying. That however can be fixed with simply Keeton (The owner) establishing links with other rpg sites.

RPGL is a great source of inspiration and work; its sad to see it like this. To those that have been using this site to write your games; Welcome and I hope you stay for some time.

Shameless plug time: I run a role playing group on Yahoo messenger; if anybody is interested message me at robbiemackmeed@yahoo.com

Hunter game

Recently i have been playing games of hunter: the vigil with a group of mine and I decided i would put up yesterdays archive of the magical events that transpired that day.

Sheetar Cult for WoD

This is a cult i wrote for the Hunter the vigil and WoD Genre

White Wolf

After my last paycheck i went into insanity and picked up some new sourcebooks for myself. Vampire, Hunter, Antagonists (As idea material) and the core book. I have read (loosley) though them all and here are my thoughts on them.

I personaly am a modern and sci fi nut. So this appeals to me off the get go. Then there is my supernatural liking of it. I like the idea of playing somebody who fights monsters. The reckoning sadly skewed the concept badly; but i like the Vigil much better.

Hunter: The Vigil is a finely written game with plenty of fluff and story involved, and mechanics mixed into it to create a sense of knowing what your doing. One odd thing thought is Hunter has no definable classes just another type of virtue/vice deal called professions. No matter which one you pick; all they will affect is one or two things along with your characters mindset. This can go both ways. Its anti munchkin because the lack of class powers will mean they have no certain class that will always be chosen.

1125 not to do in a rpg

Me and lennon found this hilarious list. and we both realized you should all be enlightened. Made me laugh the entire time.

Woot, 18ness

Just turned 18.... Today!

I can now legally buy porn. Yay.

If John Lennon was still active on the site and had a car i would drag him down to santa cruz for the party but he is apperantly MIA still.

Puzzles

I need help with designing puzzles for AL: Refabricated.

i just need some puzzles for the GM to pick for the players to run into. any help would be appreciated.

This is one of the last things i need to be able to push the game out of my mysterious workbench, which it has been suspended in cryo in god knows how many months

Progress

The projects i am working on:

Warpath (Working Steadily)
Dead Orbit (Story Work, everything else is done)
Artificial Life Refabricated (Establishing enemy and story values)
Pipers Stand (Working on story work)

Xmas RPG Contest Entry (IN THE WORKS)

Secrets of Pipers stand
Players are Trevor Stone and Marco Simmons, two freinds called to a arctic town named pipers stand by the ghost of trevors dead wife. upon arriving they are attacked by twisted elves, demonic reindeer and eventually; a very evil Santa Claus weilding a chainsaw.

I opted to take the horror route this time. so far the game/adventure is shaping out very well. The idea is i want to thrust two people into a structured adventure they can enjoy and play without lights on. Of course its not too scary since the killers and attackers are Elves and Santa (As twisted as i make them sound...)
