Just wondering

|

So is any one here actually playing any of the games they've written or worked on? in the past few months at school I've gotten a group together to play my minimalist sorta anything goes game and I've gotten some good feed back from my players and ideas on how to improve the system and add things that I may have missed when making it.

So if any of you are currently playing one of your own games I wanna hear about them. or like... what ever

Using the compose tips of RPG Laboratory?

I was just wondering if anybody bothers to use the coding format on RPG Lab. I liked having the compose tips to help me format my book pages and blogs, because I have no coding background whatsoever. I just wanted to know that I'm not alone... lol.

Just Another Blog Entry

Well i have not done much with my rpg as of late. I had so much work to catch up on after being sick for so long. I was thinking about trying the 24 hour rpg challenge sometime this week. Can anyone that has done it give me some advice, but don't help me with the game because that is not permitted by the rules. Also i just played through Mass Effect and have to say i loved it, and will allways hold a place in my memory.

Video Games

I was just thinking about, all of the amazing role-playing games here, (which of course in my mind one thing leads to another) and I wondered, how many people used video games as the basis for their games. And while we are on the topics of video games, what video games do you guys personally enjoy.

So I've decided to get down a campaign/adventure/story thing for my one player game... http://www.rpglaboratory.com/james_simon_faust/one_player_game_ideas

I've written down a few character type ideas and thought up a lot more that may or may not get into this particular adventure.

The setting is a world not that unlike our own save for magic, robots and monsters. A world ruled by a king known as the Agkmari. The adventure focuses around the player, a young student who has one dream in life... TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD! so with only a few points and a bat our young hero and his/her friends (guided by a wisecracking narrator!) set off to beat down the King and rule the world!

Gaming with a mission

Recently I was reading a book titled "The Devil's Gardens: A history of Landmines". Much of the book was case studies of conflicts - and why the mines were used, and how they continued to affect the area after the end of hostilities. It made me think about the use of RPGs as a teaching tool and morality system.
