Just wondering

|

So is any one here actually playing any of the games they've written or worked on? in the past few months at school I've gotten a group together to play my minimalist sorta anything goes game and I've gotten some good feed back from my players and ideas on how to improve the system and add things that I may have missed when making it.

So if any of you are currently playing one of your own games I wanna hear about them. or like... what ever

Back

It seems like forever since I've been to this site, but i decided to pay a visit to see what was new.

Theres a few new projects i wanna check out but first I'm gonna comment on the game I thought up in a matter of seconds that may or may not work.

so the idea is a one player RPG/Board game thing, like most of my past games it seems to be about earning points (mostly cause' I'm too lazy to think up a real goal or story.)

you start with a lined piece of paper or gird paper or what ever as long as it has 12 of some sort of spaces. You take a 12 sided die and roll it then starting from the top count down the spaces. at this space on the paper you roll the d12 again to determine what kind of location is there, such as a town or a dungeon or something. then you repeat as many times as you wish or until all the spaces are filled.

a few idea about my one player rpg (which still needs proper name)

So I've decided to get down a campaign/adventure/story thing for my one player game... http://www.rpglaboratory.com/james_simon_faust/one_player_game_ideas

I've written down a few character type ideas and thought up a lot more that may or may not get into this particular adventure.

The setting is a world not that unlike our own save for magic, robots and monsters. A world ruled by a king known as the Agkmari. The adventure focuses around the player, a young student who has one dream in life... TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD! so with only a few points and a bat our young hero and his/her friends (guided by a wisecracking narrator!) set off to beat down the King and rule the world!

One player game ideas

Ooook so heres the idea, I've been working on one player RPGs for a while and I'm pretty happy with the one I'm doing now. Its a 3 stat system with very simple rules that really only pertain to character classes, event/challenge rules and items allowing the player to make everything else up as he or she sees fit. Its really minimalist because I wanted something I could play when I was bored with out needing to think about it too much... so heres the basics...

all you need to play is a pencil, a D6 and some paper (I have a note book for this kinda thing and I would dare to guess a lot of you other game writers do to for your various projects)
