but other than that... RPGlab... hows every little thing?

why do i even try...

Sooo hi...

I feel like I'm stretching myself out game wise trying to think up a new system every few weeks and never finishing a game. I've looked back at my two most successful games and I've decided I'm going to go back and make my One player Adventure game my main project. I've tweaked the battle system so that its a bit harder (one of the complaints was that you were likely to win by default if you got to attack first) and add an initiative type thing that i think will help with determining which character the monster will attack so it doesn't focus on one character. sooo that's it, might have something playable by tonight depending on if I can get some espresso...

Good News Everyone!

To celebrate my lazy game writing my next one player game will feature one of two copy pasted battle systems from one of my older game. At the moment which one isn't quite important because if I know me as well as I think I do (and I assure you, I don't) I'll never finish it. The game will feature town and dungeon exploration, random maps for both towns and dungeons and if all goes according to plan a lot of class, weapons, monsters and pets.

But back to me being a lazy bum of a writer. I will use any suggestions for classes, weapons, monsters, pets, stats and items. The funny, serious or just weird I'm adding anything (as long as it stays PG-13 or under)that is suggested.

character sheet is the game entry! am i too late Errin?

so here's my game, its pretty simple and its really up to the player to determine stories, I normally play a few rounds with a continuing story about the characters trying to defeat an evil sorcerer but you can really make up what ever you want, crud, I need to get back on my desktop, forgot to copy it to the new laptop so I'll post it in a little bit...

OK here's the game

my name is James, I have a stick,

so anyway last night I was in town and I got some renewed motivation for working on my game. the one I mentioned in my last post which got cut off because I used that symbol for greater than. Well the idea is that you use your hand, the three stats are written on the backs of your pointer, middle and ring finger, it doesn't matter which finger you write each stat on and it might be a good idea for each character to choose a different finger to write each stat.
the game works like rock, paper, scissors with strength beating skill, skill beating magic and magic beating strength. the number for the stat determines how successful what ever the player was doing. character info and equipment is written on the back of the players hand.

ok something different maybe... kinda

Ok so this one might seem kinda weird but I'm putting aside all but one of my current projects to work on this. We've seen games with no dice and games where the character sheet and the rules are the same page and all sorts of weird stuff... so here's the basics of my idea... a game with no dice, no character sheets and a simple rock

"hey maybe I can make that nut suck so bad!"

"Agents of Alexandria"

so yeah we got a name at least

If any one bothered to read my last game you probably thought it left a lot to be desired, so I'll celebrate losing my job by working on a more serious multiplayer version. It will use the same system for generating events based on classes but the events will be more complex and will effect the whole group as well as battles that are fought instead of the event telling you if you lost life. Items will have more effect then just something to boast about and I might even add pets. so we'll see what happens.

still kicking around ideas for whats going on but so far the players take the roles of Special Investigation officers for the Kingdom of Alexandria. there are a number of possible characters you could play as but I want to think up some good events and character types before I start anything. I know I want to have Witch Hunter, Wolf Rider and Yeti (I haven't used Yeti in a while and I kinda miss the warm fuzziness (oh wow spell check says "fuzziness" is a real word! awesome!))

A game i wrote in about a half hour

I wrote this in about an hour, If I feel like it I'll write a more serious version, all you need is a piece if lined paper a pencil and a d6. Its a pretty simple one player game with no real plot or goal... enjoy?

banking rpg system for one or more players

hiya! so I was poking around playing with the internet (twitter) and I decided I wanted to write a really short game. Well its took a few hours and I came up with this. the rules here are written for more than one player but it can easily be adapted to one player by generating your own obstacles and monsters, this could be more or less fun depending on how social you are. Thats it for now people

I'll just leave this here

Sleep just to dream her

O.K so during what could be considered a successful nights sleep, I dreamed I was at a comic shop looking around when I found an awesome think hardbound book with an orange cover and a picture of a wolf on the cover, the title of this minuscule tome was "Swords&Wolves". On the inside it contained the rules for a game that as we speak I am searching deep into my mind to recall. It had several races, including a race of ghostly creatures called Summoner-Ti and large Minotaurs with mechanical body parts.

I wanted to buy the book (the prices said 10$) but I didn't have the money so I went to school disappointed. To my good luck I found a 20 on the ground, then I got attacked by a student with a knife in the gym and I got yelled at by the gym teacher for fighting. Sadly I woke up before I could return to the comic shop and buy my game.
