Aside from the obvious (google images, etc) there's a site called clipart.com that has a huge, well organized library of clip art.
It's free to browse thumbnails, but you have to buy a subscription to get the higher resolution images. A one week subscription is about $15, but as far as I can tell you get unlimited downloads during that time.
The images are royalty free, which should mean that you won't have to pay more to use them if you publish your game for profit.
