so anyway last night I was in town and I got some renewed motivation for working on my game. the one I mentioned in my last post which got cut off because I used that symbol for greater than. Well the idea is that you use your hand, the three stats are written on the backs of your pointer, middle and ring finger, it doesn't matter which finger you write each stat on and it might be a good idea for each character to choose a different finger to write each stat.
the game works like rock, paper, scissors with strength beating skill, skill beating magic and magic beating strength. the number for the stat determines how successful what ever the player was doing. character info and equipment is written on the back of the players hand.
play is broken into rounds with the Game Master determining the event in the plot and what stat would be needed to succeed in the event (they keep the required stat a secret). the GM announces the goal of the round and all players (including the GM) put out the finger they plan on using and say how their character is going to solve the problem. any player who beats the stat put out by the GM succeeds. when ever player and the GM put out the same stat finger then the player with the highest stat wins. if both stats are the same then the player or GM can bargain with one of the other players to given a bonus of plus one or a penalty of minus one. the penalty for failing an event is normally a loss of points, should a character lose all their points they die and are out of the game, points are earned by succeeding in events, points lost or earned are at the GM's discretion player vs player is pretty much the same as player vs GM only instead of the GM determining points they earn points based on the stat they attacked with and the stat the other player defended with.

thats all for now until I get my brain going better... anyone else read Sonic the Hedgehog?
