Vocabulary Lesson part 3.14...
CRPG = console/computer RPG. The shorthand way of separating PnP (Pencil and Paper) games from their digital counterparts. Generally, just saying RPG means the books - unless you live in Japan, where the profusion of the electronic type is greater, so they use TTRPG to indicated Table Top RPG and any other reference is to the video game.
Who says you don't learn anything from the internet?
Oddly enough, despite the fact that it appears everyone (except for me) has played Final fantasy - games emulating CRPG memes are rather rare. I can think of a few such games, but anyone here can tell you - I have way too much free time, and 2 Gigabytes of Free PnP RPGs on my computer. (As my friends have said "I'd tell you to get a hobby... but this is your hobby!")
So anyway, the tactical placement combat, and do nothing/defend to recover stood out. (One of the few crpgs I have played - Legend of the Dragoon - had you heal when you chose to defend) Nor do most of these games bother with how much a character can lift or mobility/dexterity outside of combat - which your game doesn't define either. (Though you might want some sort of item capacity limit)
There is a fine line between hobby and obsession. I seem to have lost sight of it some time ago.
