Anyways....
Well, one of the larger pieces of news is that we have a new worker, by the name of Hi hi hi hello! (Don't ask...)
He is in charge of the Cave section of the game, as well as ediingmy grammar/typo mistakes. Also, we have recently had a massive update where I changed many item and monster stats to balance the game out since it was a bit too easy/hard. Anyways, check for a more detailed list of updaes in the Design Notes. Thanks!

Er

Really not my business, but its getting annoying that your posting all kinds of ads for your game everywhere. if we want to visit your game, we will. but this is not the place to post a hundred "visit my game" posts. one is enough.

Ads?

Ads? These are merely a list of updates that I'm adding to my blog, not exactly an ad. Adding updates to my bog isn't exactly a crime you know. And I only include one small sentence about my game, so if any one who hasn't seen it before sees it, they won't be confused. No offense or anything, but I tihnk you were sort of getting the wrong idea with these posts, they are UPDATES as you can obviously tell by the title and the content. Only my very first post was an ad, and if this were an ad, I'd probably include "Super fun solo game!" or something like that. Obviosuly, in this post in particular, I revealed almost nothing about the game, only updates. Sorry about the confusion between ads/updates.

No confusion

It seems i look around and see many of these such posts. I know the difference between updates and ads, kid.

Ease of Refrence

Probably the best way of resolving this ads vs updates issue would be to have one blog post, and just add a comment each time you update the site. That way, the lab is not cluttered with announcements, and everything is on one page so we can easily track the changes as they are made.

As to the game itself, you seem to be doing well. The initial presentation of the rules could use some work.

  • The tone is rather informal

  • If you're going to give an example character - make it one players can recreate.
  • Bold, subheadings, and numbering to help break up the text and make the appearance a bit more elegant.
  • Please explain runes and magic in the rules, rather than trying to teach them later in the game. (Especially considering you have a chance to obtain some early on.)
  • Information up front about effects (like drunkenness) would also be helpful. Just the fact that you can acquire such was a bit of a surprise.
  • When can you use food to heal yourself? Can you eat while in battle? If so, is such an action in addition to or instead of attacking?

While you shouldn't let appearance trump ideas, the formatting could use a bit of work as well. Headers should be a bit larger, and perhaps in a notably different non-serif font. Links should probably be a little larger, underlined, or off-set to stand out better as well.

Keep up the good work.

There is a fine line between hobby and obsession. I seem to have lost sight of it some time ago.

Thanks!

Thanks, I'll try to incorpoate some of these ideas in the game. And that's a pretty good idea about the "post a comment in your blog." I'll do that next time. To Evil, sorry, and from now on, I'll keep with commenting instead of new posts. thanks again!

Accepted

Thats what i was trying to say. i can get pretty... "rude" with new users. Your game does look pretty good so far.
