Lyricist is an idea I had for a game that uses lyrics (preferably original) in place of dice. As of this time, I've just began working but would like some feedback on the brief rules section. Any comments or constructive criticism would be appreciated. » add new comment | 121 reads

I had envisioned most lyrics consisting of only a few lines at most. Of course actions that could be countered, neutralized, etc. would consist more of a battle between the two parties. Depending on the group, the game would either be more freestyle rap"ish" or slam poetry. But yes as far as mechnically it's exactly like american idol, the group votes on who wins and therefore who succeeds. I had planned on trying to flesh out how the mechanic would actually work and I'd say I could come up with a sample story, which would probably provide the best illustration of the workings of the mechanics. » reply

So it's like American Idol?
An interesting idea. The voting system seems to be like an American Idol-esque kind of thing. A more in-depth guide would be appreciated, especially if you include lyrical examples.
