Peer Pressure - Tick tock

I am posting this as a blog, as it is more a thought about where I am going to go with peer pressure. Sitting on the bus today, I was sketching out thoughts for resolution mechanics in the game, and I was thinking also about player control of narrative. I wanted everyone to have a similar effect on the narrative mechanically. To do this I think I will introduce time as a pool you can spend. 24 units of it per round of the game obviously.

You can spend this time to attend classes, do extra-curricular activities, sleep etc. Depending on how you spend it you will increase the amount of 'trouble' you are in, and also affect the amount of 'cool' you have. There are two trouble meters, school and parents. These different meters will cause certain types of narration to be more difficult than others.

What do you think guys?

Cheers
Iain

Sounds good

A very novel idea for a RPG. Keep developing it further. Good luck with it.
