Sword & Spelling

|

So, I decided, for Swords & Spelling, I am going to pair it down to just be about wizards.

Spelling Wizards has a cool name anyway, and I think it removes some of the confusion.

There will be 3 magical skills:

Conjuring - you can draw a number of letters, equal to the skill, from the bag.
Manipulation - you can manipulate a number of letters, in play, up to or equal to your skill.
Vanishing - you can make a number of letters disappear, equal to the rating of the skill.

Each character still has a magic pouch, where you place excess letters (drawn at the beginning of play and given for solving puzzles and beating creatures).

Swords & Spelling (Round One)

So the game goes a little like this...

SWORDS & SPELLING
A Roleplaying Game of Furious Spelling Action in a Fantastic World Gone Garbled
by nathan j. hill

"Look yonder! Strange travelers astride a hill, watching with their cunning, dangerous eyes. Are these the adventurers that the Wizard Professor told us would come to save our fair land? I do indeed pray that their hearts will be rife with compassion for our tragic cause. Let us warm the tavern and entice these strangers to hear our predicament."

With warm beverages before you, the leader of this village, on the outskirts of the Spelled World, clasps his hands together and looks at you with desperate eyes.

Figuring out if this will be useful or not...

Hello to the RPG Laboratory.

I'm a big fan of the Drupal system - use it for some of my social networking sites that I have built. I am overhauling the Mystic Ages Online site (www.mysticages.com), and so I may use this to post a bunch of free crap that I have written over the years.

I have decided on a policy of putting stuff out there again -- so even if it isn't ready, rather than let it sit there until someday when I do finish it, I'm just going to try to post more of my raw material.. and from there, if it comes together, it comes together. Otherwise, it doesn't do me much good just sitting in the ol' hard drive.
