Well I have removed BBsp from the server I am revamping it...I think, and am considering attempting to publish it under a new imprint I am doing on the side appropiately called, psydeshow. Before I do anything I want to do some online playing so once again I am seeking volunteers. This will be a short of online game/discussion group. I will be using the core for All Faeries Must DIE!! in the game.
I will be creating a forum to run the game(not going to use a online gaming site.) I am currently looking for a decent online dice roller with email option so if anyone knows of any good ones let me know please.

Big Beers, small pretzels... revamp
Submitted by oversoul on Mon, 2010-03-29 17:14.PDF writer?
Submitted by oversoul on Sun, 2010-02-28 15:48.Hi all I am looking for a new pdf writer. I lost mine(Acrobat Printer) sometime back when I upgraded my computer. Anyway I still use pagemaker and I tried using cutePDF with it but it does not work right. SO here is what I am looking for: It must be free and function with the acrobat pagemaker format.
If that is not possible could someone suggest a free layout and pdf maker combo.
I appreciate any suggestions yall have.
All Faeries Must DIE!!
Submitted by oversoul on Sat, 2010-02-27 08:12.....What if the good natured faerie folk of the world waged a war to bring peace and happiness to the world. What if they won? They forced everyone to be happy or be erased from existance. People live to lives suffering on the inside, and all smiles on the outside. The faeries either killed or converted all the heroes of the Kingdom, so now your only hope for salvation is all the darker creatures of the world, unable to be affected by the powers of the faeries....
This is just a very rough stage setting idea I am working on for BIG BEERS, small pretzels. The silliness of the system really needs a off the wall setting.
Looking to play online
Submitted by oversoul on Sun, 2010-01-31 06:09.Hi all I have been itching to run some of my games for awhile now. I was hoping I might recruit some players here or at 1km1kt. I have two already started and seeking players at www.rondaks-portal.com. One is a Nook game using the Chi rules, the other is a tongue in cheek game of soem rednecks captured by aliens using my Big Beers, Small Pretzels system. I am also open to running a Dice Chucker game got some ideas for that, atronauts and/vs. cavemen, a star furry game. I would also be interested in running my Soul Surivior game for Quique. If anyone is interested and we can settle on som
Magic in Nook
Submitted by oversoul on Sat, 2009-11-14 07:00.I am trying to come at magic in Nook in a new idrection...well for me anyway. In most video rpgs magical power is numeric. The number oges up with healing and goes down in defined increments according to which spell is cast. I want to change this.
The spells in Nook are still finite. This spell that has X affect always costs N in energy. I am making the energy available variable. The player will have to roll to gather energy for a spell. This is of course afffected by conditional modifiers. A character may not be able to get enough energy for a spell, or run the risk of getting too much energy.
Book for Nook started
Submitted by oversoul on Sun, 2009-11-01 05:37.Well I have started a book for Nook. I have finished the Geography for the little world map included. Each locale got a short paragraph and I tried to add something of interest about it. I have some vague history started and some of it is present in the geography section. I want to expand that some. Then I want to add a few important, famous, or interesting personalities to it.
I also have started some Dice Chucker rules variants for Nook, after that I think I should be done with it.
As a whole the world does not really stand out and say, "Hey play me I am unique and intresting" I and a few others may use it but that is it.
A new way of doing campaign settings
Submitted by oversoul on Sun, 2009-10-18 14:54.I have written lots of rules and am constantly tweaking them. I also have lots of have started ideas for campaign setting some more along than others. Campaing settings can be a tricky mind numbing business. You could write for years and not cover all the detail of just one small area of your setting. Yet mot designers are compelled to create that perfect and enormous setting to place your games in. Why? Has anyone else stopped to ask that question?
Is it not possible to have fun with a small world? Is it not possible to find adventure in small nooks and crannies?
After all it has worked in video games. I think some would regue against my view that video games with small worlds are successful. Maybe some would feel that by limiting physical scope we are limited our stories.
Dice Chucker v4
Submitted by oversoul on Sat, 2009-06-13 07:50.This year marks the 5th anniversary since I began Dice Chucker. I have a few goals in mind. First and foremost write the 4th version. I have some ideas I want to add as well as remove the ever present errors. I also really want to push Dice Chucker out there. Do not get me wrong I love my little wedge of gaming universe but I am more inclined tocreate more when I see interest other than my own. To those ends I need to generate that interest. Gettign v4 done will help but I also need to work on some world stuff as well. I have lots of ideas but getting them down in a tangible format is always hard for me. I am also thinking of getting some reviews done, maybe rpg net and the like, once v4 is finished. I would love to get a small true print run done as well. I am always at a constant debate over this. I want to keep the pdf free and provide a pod for those that want a nifty copy to hold. I would like to use the money from sales of the print run to pay for my website. But who would be a print book when they can download for free? I would if I really, really, really loved the game, but that is a huge commitment.
Ain't been on here in a loooooooooong while
Submitted by oversoul on Wed, 2009-02-18 07:04.Wow it has been sometime since I have looged on here. Sorry about that. I get so caught up in somethings that I completely forget about everything else. I and my cohorts are still plugging away with our game design at www.oversoul-games.com.
Recently I have been to work on several things. This year marks five years of Dice Chucker. I am doing a slight revamp of the rules. Mainly adding some options to them. The big ne option is a simple abstract combat method. Basically I removing most of the movement complexities out of the game. All combat will take place on a battlemat that is 4 by spaces square. It is more like the old school early video rpgs. It does not matter if your hardy party of adventures are wedged into a tiny dungeon corridor single file. When I fight start it moves to a spacious 4X4 battlemat.
Looking to start an online game....maybe
Submitted by oversoul on Sun, 2007-04-22 07:03.Hey all I am looking to start a game online. I currently run a Dice Chucker game at rondaksportal.com but I am wanting to test Chi or perhap use my 1 page rules: Quique.
For this game I was thinking of trying to use gametable, or perhaps my forum at oversoul-games in the event I use Quique.
I am not even sure about a setting yet. I am mainly posting this to see if anyone would be interested everything is open for discussion.
