Hi all I have been itching to run some of my games for awhile now. I was hoping I might recruit some players here or at 1km1kt. I have two already started and seeking players at www.rondaks-portal.com. One is a Nook game using the Chi rules, the other is a tongue in cheek game of soem rednecks captured by aliens using my Big Beers, Small Pretzels system. I am also open to running a Dice Chucker game got some ideas for that, atronauts and/vs. cavemen, a star furry game. I would also be interested in running my Soul Surivior game for Quique. If anyone is interested and we can settle on something give a shout.
Looking to play online
great
Hey great I was thinking more of a pbp or pbem set up. I only have a dail up connection and setting a rl time to play would be very very difficult for me at best.
I have been trying to get someone with java experience to write a roller for DC for years, but with the mechanics of DC it is tricky
Don't need Java
You don't need Java for a Dice Roller. I could probably take a little while and write up a quick page for you folks for dice rolling. Nothing great but simple (dial-up friendly) and easy to use depending on what you are looking for.
Let me know what you need and I will see what I am throw together for you.

For Die Chucker pbp
We would want a forum such that we can add a tag something like [roll 5] or [roll 2] and it would replace that tag with "username rolled five random numbers from 1 to 6 or two random numbers from 1 to 6"
You know
I type "[roll 7]"
and in my post it shows
"SheikhJahbooty rolled 5 4 1 2 5 4 3."
I'm sure we can make do with less, but that would be sweet.
Power Dice could be a problem
I figured java would be best for it fir the gui, I could do one out of javascript but it could only function with email.
Anyway the biggest problem with a roller for Dice Chucker is the Power Dice. Some of the basic PDs are easy rerolling Players would have to input what PDs they have in the roll. The program could then order them into the first positions of a matrix with the common dice following. Then if a "6" appears among one of the first dice rolled the program could then ask the player if wnats to include them in the draft and if the roll is for a related task, for example a magic roll and a PD is an Arcane die. If so it would reroll.
SOme of the more complicated dice might be trickier. But if you are willing to give it ago by all means please do and I will help any way I can. First I suggest you download a copy of the rules from my website, here is the link: www.oversoul-games.com/DiceChucker/dicechuckr_v3.pdf
Games Started
I am posting partially to get the spam off the top of my screen and more improtantly to announce that I am begining to pbp games. One is a Nook game using Chi. The other is a juicy post apocalyptic zombie game called Soul Survivor, a one page supplement for my diceless Quique rules. I am running both of these games on two different websites, myth-weavers.com and my personal favorite, rondaksportal.com.
The Nook game is on rondaks portal and I am awaiting clearance for the Soul Survivor game on the same server. I already have a clone Soul Survivor game on myth weavers, if intrest is shown there for the Nook game I will start a clone there for it as well.
Again if anyone is interested in playing they can head over to one of these sites an apply.
Ornate Registration
Both sites have these long arcane registration processes and I could get neither of them to the end.
Rondaks portal particularly wouldn't load the next page and when I tried to go back or reload it told me that my username was in use (by me), but I couldn't use my username because I never authenticated my email, but it never sent my email because it never got that far in the registration process.
Some time in the next few days I'll go back and try to figure this out again. Maybe it was a browser issue. This weekend I'll hook up the new keyboard on my desktop and I'll have renewed access to a screen large enough that I can use a normal browser. I only use chrome on my netbook because the screen is too tiny to use a browser that has real toolbars.
Sorry About That
I am not sure what could be the problem, I have used rondaks for years now and never had any issues with it. Myth Weavers is new to me and I am still learning my way around it.
I hope you manage to get it working, if so Rondaks is your best choice, Soul Survivor is pretty much full on Myth Weavers

I'm down with this.
My real life play has become sporadic of late. I have heard that a good approximation of real life play can be had by combining skype with some online dice roller programs or RPG programs. I just installed Vassal and I'm trying to figure it out.
Hey, if you introduce me to a cool program for rolling dice for Dice Chucker online, I could probably use it to play Play it Cool online, which would be especially cool because I wrote the thing over a year ago and everyone's always like, "Let's try it." but we never do.
