1KM1KT 24 Hour Espionage RPG Contest!

To celebrate the re-launch of Modus-Operandi.co.uk, *the* unofficial source for espionage role-playing games on the internet since 1999, and also to shake things up on 1KM1KT, Modus Operandi and 1KM1KT are sponsoring a 24 hour RPG competition! If you've never done a 24 Hour RPG, this is your chance to get in on the action. If you're a regular this is an opportunity to get some bragging rights and cool swag!

The Theme
"Espionage through the ages: Design an espionage game set during an unusual time period.

The Rules

Entries will be judged by Gobion Rowlands from Modus Operandi Red Redemption and the 1KM1KT team, and will be hosted on both Modus-Operandi.co.uk and 1KM1KT.net.

Mark Your Calendars!

|

Okay, I can't say too much just yet... but I CAN say that next weekend 1KM1KT will be having a BIG contest with a hundred dollars worth of prizes! So, mark your calendars... because you will be VERY busy from about 7pm Friday evening to 7pm Saturday. :)

Cost of Business

As the last hours of 2006 drain away, I'm thinking of my goals for the coming year - and one of them is to actually sell a game. I've been looking for a grad school program dealing with game design, but all I find are ones about programing. To say I'm lacking the math skills and patience to debug code is a major understatement. Computers would cry in my presence if it was physically possible.

The Challenge

The Challenge

So begins the First Frontier Biquarterly 24 hour Challenge!

That's right boys and girls, Biquartery! Once every 4 months Frontier will sponsor a Challenge based upon the game. Each winner will see their submission risen up in glory as a Frontier Officially stamped Expansion. They will also receive a free copy of the first run of The Frontier Guidebook.

Now is when you say "What in the world is Frontier and why would I want to sign up for their silly contest?"

To which we will happily reply:

Frontier is a new RPG based on the concept that Role-Playing games are and should be expanded by the people who play it and have hand in controlling its design destiny. Frontier is built upon the design principle of creating set of rules in which players can take any setting they wish that is already designed, or create their own, and not run into large inconsistencies of rules.
