RPG Laboratory is taking shape as an online toolkit for RPG developers. We'll be rolling out new features soon, but here are our main strengths:
- We're open source for not-for-profit projects. If you see something on this site you want to borrow for your game, you can. If you want to sell that game, you need permission from the owner.
- You get your own blog where you control the content. Useful if you don't have your own website and hosting.
- Collaborative book authoring - this one is still in testing, but it allows you to work with others to author a book together. Everyone contributes and it's all in one place.
- RSS feeds. These are really popular for sharing your content with other websites and people with feed readers. Every blog gets its own feed and there's a main one that aggregates everything together.
- Leave/receive comments - a good way to give or receive feedback.
- User biographies - tell the world who you are.
- Image hosting - you can upload images if that's helpful to you.
- File uploading - you can upload files like .pdf, .doc, .xls for sharing or for use with whatever you're working on.
