i have these crazy ideas about making rpg's but i just cant finish my idea because i get writers block alot of the time can you guys help me out here?

RPG Laboratory is a forum for designers or aspiring designers of pen-and-paper role playing games, such as Dungeons and Dragons. We are a support network to help you critique or refine your work.
However, even if you aspire to make computer role-playing games, it can certainly help you to learn about the platform that brought RPGs to the computer in the first place, as CRPGs are often based off of them.

You mean for world creation? I have a few tidbits of advice:
1. Avoid genre cliches. You can find huge lists of cliches with a quick google search.
2. Do your research. Ideas rarely reveal themselves spontaneously. You need to do research in order to get the juices flowing on a consistent basis.
3. Keep an idea book. I started one about a year ago. In my idea book for Nevercast, I have 70 core entries and dozens more side entries to elaborate upon them. I can refer to these ideas at any time and add further detail. Most ideas start out as a question, and I get back to them at a later time.
